His breakthrough came in 2006 when he released his album "Dog House Music" which was praised for its stripped-down, bluesy sound. Since then, he has released several more albums and collaborated with a range of artists, including Jack White and John Paul Jones.

Seasick Steve is also known for his unique instruments, often made from found objects such as cigar boxes and hubcaps. His live performances are energetic and engaging, with his gravelly voice and impressive guitar skills captivating audiences around the world.
